Fulfill Your Ramadan Obligations with Fitrana & Fidya

Fidya

Who needs to pay Fidya? Those who cannot fast due to illness, pregnancy, travel, or other valid reasons.
What is the purpose of Fidya? It allows individuals to fulfill their religious obligation by providing meals to those in need.
How is Fidya calculated? The amount is based on the cost of two meals per day.
How much is Fidya in the UK? It is £5 per day or £150 for the full month of Ramadan.
Why is Fidya important? By giving Fidya, you help sustain the less fortunate while upholding the values of charity and compassion.

Fitrana (Zakat al-Fitr)

What is Fitrana? It is a mandatory charity given before Eid al-Fitr to purify the fast.
Why do we give Fitrana? It ensures that those in need can celebrate Eid with dignity and joy.
How is the amount determined? The amount is based on staple foods like wheat, dates, or barley.
Who must pay Fitrana? Every financially capable Muslim, including children, must pay it.
How much is Fitrana in the UK? £5 per person.
Where does SMT distribute Fitrana? We ensure it reaches vulnerable communities in need.
